Appointments

steth_pills_diaryConsultations are by 10 minute appointment.  If you feel your problem is particularly complex or it involves several problems, please ask for a double appointment with the nurse or doctor.

If there are no appointments available and you need to be seen urgently, or you have a baby or young child who needs to be seen urgently, you will be given an emergency appointment and asked to come along either at the beginning or end of a surgery. For emergency appointments you cannot choose which doctor to see.

We offer an extended hours surgery on a Monday evening for routine appointments until 7pm. These appointments are for those patients who cannot attend normal surgery opening hours.

Emergency Cases

These take priority at all times. In an emergency please telephone 0141 883 8838. If the surgery is closed a message will advise what to do.

Telephone Advice

The doctors and nurses normally finish morning surgery by midday and should be available to speak to you if you need telephone advice at that time. Tel: 0141 883 8838

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Medical Students

Occasionally we may advise you that medical students from Glasgow University are training with us and will be present in the consulting room.  However, you have the choice and if you would prefer them not to be present please let us know at the time.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
